We make dance-documentaries about people's relationship to the places they live

Well...
DANCE?
WHAT IS DOCUMENTARY
Unlike traditional documentary formats, our films alternate between interviews and site specific dance pieces.
Living with buildings is a bodily experience, and movement is a way of expressing those aspects of it that can't be put into words.
Dance acts as a playful counterpoint to the interviews, blending together a holistic exploration of how buildings move bodies.
We love this approach!
It provides a platform for regional communities that typically have low arts engagement.
It also lets us meet local celebrities and unknown stories that filmmakers would otherwise not have access to.
Our dance pieces are often co-created with local dance groups.
This affords us insights into the lived experiences of regular people and helps build an intimate local network that allows us to make rich, place-specific documentaries.
